Students who plan to take Advanced Placement (AP) and Honors courses in high school in 2018-19 can get a head start by signing up for the Summer Scholars Camp.

2018-19 Online Registration
Whether your child is a returning student from the previous school year or brand new to Shelby County Schools, his/her enrollment begins by registering online. Parents can register online for their child’s zoned school or an approved school choice location.
Students must be registered for 2018-19 in an SCS-managed school to apply for the Superintendent’s Summer Learning Academy.
Summer Learning Academy
June 11 – July 14 for grades K-8
June 11 – July 7 for high school
Meals are FREE for all students, and extended day learning is available for elementary sites from 7 a.m. - 6 p.m. Transportation is not provided for the Summer Learning Academy.
Library Summer Camp applications are open until May 15th.

The STEM Center for Women and Diversity presents the Future Women Engineers Program June 18-22, 2018, for high school female students.
The activities of this five-day program include hands-on activities in the areas of Civil and Environmental, Chemical and Biochemical, Electrical and Computer, and Mechanical Engineering.
The program also includes industrial tours and talks by professional women engineers and scientists.
